About

With all due formality, I welcome thee, dear reader to follow along on my first foray into this jungle of blogging and self-learning/confession.

I’m just a regular guy with a 50-ish hour work week, a few close friends, and really not enough free time to devote to blogging, but what the hell.  I’ve got a degree in Philosophy from Union College and a JD from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law.  I work at a corporate governance consulting and proxy solicitation firm, and that’s all I’ll say about that because there’s absolutely no way to make that sound sexy or interesting to the unititiated.  Lots of spreadsheets and emails.

Ideally, I’ll move this to a paid-server environment and add some ads, in the attempt to make some money.  I’m all about whittling down my $100k student loan debt as quickly as possible, so I’m going to try to sell the most expensive part of me – my brain.  Or rather, the products thereof.  I’ll be posting on various topics with which I have some degree of familiarity, if not expertise: Hiking, Internet Dating, and my general thoughts on, well, life in general.

I hope you find something here that makes you smile or helps you think a bit differently; I’ve found that smiling and thinking outside of my normal routine have been very good for my overall well-being.  If you do, perchance, find something here that you like, please feel free to contact me or post a comment.  Please also feel free to visit my Donations page and give me a hand with the aforesaid student loan debt.
