F*cken Animal Time Again

I feel good, dear reader.  Oh boy, do I feel good.  I just burned through the rest of that website copy in two hours; the time absolutely flew by and man! was I thorough.  Now we wait to see what kind of problems come back with my phraseology.

The rent check is sitting on my desk and the funds have been transferred to the proper checking account.  Most of my other bills should be set up to debit automatically over the next couple of days, and I’ll call or send out checks for the last couple next week.

I have all 10 vacation days for the year left to go (plus one personal day), and I dropped my vacation request off on my boss’s desk this afternoon.  I’ll be working 12 of the last 22 business days in 2009.  As long as my boss okays the 28th through the 31st, I’ll be happy.

It’s time to get ready for hiking.

As though I haven’t said it enough, winter for the Catskill 3500 Club starts the 22d, and I plan to climb as many mountains as I can from Saturday December 26th through the third of January.  I don’t remember if I requested any of the days off between the 22d and the 26th (I think maybe just that Monday), but maybe he’ll ask me to work one or more of the days off during the weeks preceding and I can start earlier.

It’s just after midnight now, and I’ll be more or less on schedule for the whole “in bed by midnight” thing tonight, because I’m going to cut this post short.  Tomorrow I’ll start laying out my hiking goals (as in which mountains I’ll climb on which weekends) in earnest.  And boy, am I psyched to do that.
