After much searching and querying of my cyber-friends, I finally received a Google Wave invitation this morning. Mammoth thanks go out to my buddy Ed Pirone, who effected the hookup. Don’t try to find Ed and ask him if he has an more invites, and don’t ask me if I have an invite to send you, because we don’t.
Google Wave invitations went out a few weeks ago to 100,000 users. I was in early with my request for an invitation, but I guess my personal statement wasn’t compelling enough for Google. Those 100,000 original invitees were given 10 invitations each. So there are a maximum of 1,000,000 people with Google Wave accounts. And I’m one of them. Wicked cool.
I got my invite this morning, so I’m not going to give you a review just yet, but it’s pretty fly so far. For those of you who don’t spend enough time on the internet to know what Google Wave is, here’s the short video introduction:
