My zen-a-day calendar has been a bit list-happy for the past few days. Yesterday’s quote (which is today’s quote for me, because you’re now reading something that was written in the past (yay time capsules)) was, I thought (try to follow me, here dear reader, without criticizing my tense-usage), pretty darned apropos and pragmatically…well…Zen:
- Get enough food to eat, and eat it.
- Find a place to sleep where it is quiet, sleep there.
- Reduce intellectual and emotional noise until you arrive at the silence of yourself, and listen to it.
Yes, #4 is blank on my page at home as well. I’m curious to hear your thoughts on #4. And so glad to have a comments section. Please, dear reader, let me know what you think.

Let your mood decide what #4 will fit into your zen quest.
Dream a little then dream a big dream that never ends. Having a vision that you get lost in would complete the list…though I love Being Samantha’s answer.
