Not much new to report. Because I’ve been spending so much time on my netbook, I’m regularly surprised by how large the screen is on my regular laptop at home. It’s ginormous. And my monitor at work is even huger.
Did I mention I started to read Cory Doctorow‘s book Little Brother? I’ll let you know what I think when I’ve finished it. I downloaded it from that last link. Even if you don’t download (in whatever format – there are many available) and read the book, I’d highly recommend just reading the Introduction. I dig Doctorow’s belief that information should be free. Hell, I think the internet should be free and available to everyone. So does Doctorow, btw.
Besides my usual weekend errands (which are definitely too boring to detail here), I bought myself a screen printing kit today. And then spent another few hours looking for plain black t-shirts. I ended up buying some crappy Jerzees shirts from Michael’s (arts & crafts supply store), but what the heck: they’re just for practice anyway.
I’ve been meaning to come up with a logo for this site for a while. To that end, last week I spent some time messing around with PowerPoint and came up with a few decent versions. Tonight I did the photo-emulsion thing on the screen and I hope to press my first batch of shirts tomorrow.
Ideally, I’d like to get a solid template and make the shirts available to you, dear reader. Stay tuned, I’ll try to post some pics in the near future.
Speaking of pics: I’ve been having trouble uploading stuff to my media cabinet. I know the traffic on this site would increase if I included images, but (besides the fact that I’m more about words than pictures) I haven’t really had the time to spend figuring out wtf I’m doing wrong.
That’s about it. It’s been rainy here in Jersey.

I use Zemanta on my site to add stock photos and links. It’s not personal, but it definitely jazzes things up a bit.
I’m wearing one of Teds shirts today. It feels comfortable and I feel cool in it. I’m kinda surprised that no women have hit on me yet because of the shirt.
