Monday, Monday. Back to work. The rat race, the grind. I need a vacation. Soon.
So here’s my plan: make it through the week.
It’s really just that simple.
This weekend was short. Unbelievably so. I went hiking with my friend Simon on Saturday, then hung out with Scott, Meredith and Matt in the evening. Happy Birthday Mer!
The hike was good for me. We did about 8 miles in the Shawangunks, and Simon kept us moving at a good pace. It was definitely what I needed vis-a-vis my energy-related problems described in Thursday’s post. I’ve had fewer electronics problems since the hike – even my wi-fi connection has been holding steady.
There’s a good storm moving in as I write this – I can hear the thunder rumbling and have seen a few flashes of lightning. I really dig thunderstorms, and the goddess has given me many this spring/summer to enjoy. I am filled with gratitude for them.
So. Plans for the week:
Tomorrow’s post will be the Weekly Writing Assignment and Tuesday’s post will be a new list of Star Wars characters to follow on Twitter. There: I’ve said it. Now I’m committed. I’ve been procrastinating the former for about a week, and the latter for several. It’s high time I completed those tasks.
I also have a few bills left to pay. I’ll do that tonight before I go to bed or sometime during the week.
I also have a few projects that are half-finished at work that I will spend some solid time on this week. And I will clean off my desks at work and at home. I have too many bits of paper and whatnot sitting on them “to get to later”. It’s later than later and I haven’t gotten to them, so it’s time to re-prioritize and get rid of what I’m not going to get to.
