The last few weeks have absolutely flown by (as I’ve mentioned). It seems like one minute I’m walking in to work on Monday morning, and the very next it’s Thursday afternoon. I have a handful of things on my list that just don’t seem to be getting done, though I’m generally pretty productive during the week. I’m not much of a goal-setter; I just kind of say I’m going to do something and then do it. But I’ve somehow fallen into a routine that’s just eating up my time and not allowing me to get much done outside of said routine.
I need to shake my routine up a little bit – goddess knows I don’t need another hobby, but I’ve got to start doing some new things so I at least have some points of reference.
Given that I’m generally pretty good about getting done the things I say I’m going to do, and given that I need to get myself unlocked from this (albeit not necessarily bad) routine, I’ve decided to set some goals for myself for the week (outside of eggs, pushups, & meditation). So here we go:
Goals for the week (in no particular order):
- Wrangle a date (or a rejection) out of a certain girl,
- Finish inputting my edits to Nicole’s novel and email the doc to her,
- Find the bolt and wingnut I need to fix my roof rack and get out in my kayak (if the weather’s nice),
- At least start watching the Tai Chi DVD Scott loaned me a couple of months ago
And that should be good for now. I’ve added them to the top my index-card that I’ll carry with me throughout the week. And I won’t bore you here with the other, more mundane day-to-day list of stuff beneath these items.
Have a good week, dear reader, and don’t forget to check back in every once in a while – this blog updates every day.
