Is today’s task for Darren Rowse’s “31 Days to Build a Better Blog“.  Ef me, I joined two Star Wars forums: Star Wars United and the official Lucas Online Star Wars Message Board – from which I can also access other great LucasFilm boards like the one for Indiana Jones.  L. O. L.  (I also joined, but it wouldn’t let me log on, even after clicking all the links in the confirmation email.  Boo.)

I’m still not a Star Wars Geek, but heck, if I do much more around the “Star Wars Characters You Can Follow on Twitter” post and keep checking the Star Wars Wiki in order to communicate intelligently with my #starwars friends on Twitter, I just might qualify as one sooner than I think.

Without getting off on too much of a tangent, I’d say that what I got out of today’s exercise is that I actually tried to find a forum that would relate to my audience.  The #starwars characters post was extremely popular, so I may as well capitalize on that for a bit.  I think this is a better idea than trying to find some esoteric philosophy forum with stuffy intellectuals like me.

Case-on-point:  I joined a blog forum sometime last week called Bloggeries, but that seems to be a bunch of bloggers trying to drive people to their sites.  Besides, I have to comment on others’ threads like 20 times or something before I can post anything.

I posted the link to my #starwars characters post on the two Star Wars forums I joined.  I’ll let you know if I see any traffic from them.

My username on all three of these forums is “niceguyted” (go figure), if you feel like looking me up.

I’ll keep joining forums until I find one I like – which means even MORE time spent on the internet.  Yay!

hello coincidences…I was just playing a “Getting-to-Me” Quiz and question one was:

Which is the superior “Star Wars” flick?

a. iv. A New Hope
b. v. Empire
c. vi. Jedi

PS. Anyone who gets this wrong is an idiot, even if it is a question of preference.

Your “I am not a Star Wars geek” mantra is starting to sound akin to OJ’s “I am not a murderer” claim. You can both say it all you want, but the evidence is RIGHT THERE!
