…is today’s task in Darren Rowse’s “31 Days to Build a Better Blog” experience. Here’s a link to yesterday’s post. If you haven’t yet had a chance to watch that video (or read the words around it), don’t do either while you’re at work – you might get in trouble.
I realize that I’m totally copping out on this one, but it took me FOREVER to do my taxes last night. And I’m pissed at the federal government. I mean, it could have bought me dinner first. Or done me the courtesy of slipping me a mickey or some Rohypnol.
I paid over 6 grand in student loan interest last year – which is theoretically tax-deductible. Guess how much they let me deduct?
$832. WTF.
And, to add insult to injury, between fed and the Garden State, I’m now $1,048 lighter than I was yesterday. What do the kids say these days? “Fuck my life”?
Ach. Whatever. It’s only money. Have I mentioned that nifty PayPal icon on the right lately? Please feel free to donate to your heart’s content. At this point, I’m not sure that I can say it’ll be tax deductible, though.
Ok, there’s actually an old post of mine that’s been running through my head that I think you might want to check out. It’s about relationships, and it’s called “The Missing Piece Meets the Big O (by Shel Silverstein)“. You can tell by the font and whatnot that I posted it very early in my blogging career. Normally, I’d fix the html, but I think it’s an apropos reminder (for me) of what a learning experience this blog has been. It took me forever to get that post moved over from the blog section of my myspace account – mostly because I couldn’t figure out how to fix the font size, etc.
Another fun piece I found from a little while ago is called “It’s Time to Ramble On“. It’s meant to be a multi-media experience – if you set it up right. I’ve definitely received some compliments on it, so I hope you like it.

That’s so odd — the third time this week that book has come up! Funny how the universe synchronizes like that.
