Star Wars Characters You Can Follow on Twitter

April 8, 2009 · 27 comments

Ok everybody, this post gets a lot of hits and I’m pretty much over my limit to edit it any further – I’ve set up a whole separate set series of pages for this list: either look/scroll up and click on #SW List, or click here.

I am NOT a Star Wars Geek.

That said, what follows is a list of Star Wars-related characters on Twitter.  I’ve signed up to participate in Darren Rowse‘s “31 Days to Build a Better Blog” via his ProBlogger um, blog.  Today is day #2, and our assignment is to create a “List Post“.

While I was screwing around on Twitter as a means of procrastinating my blog post (as usual), I noticed the conversation among several of the SW-related characters that I follow.  It’s an interesting community.  I think a lot of them only talk/tweet with one another, and they stay in character.  Similar to D&D?  I don’t know; I’ve never played.  So here we go.  This list is not intended to be exhaustive and is not in any particular order:

Star Wars Characters You Can Follow on Twitter:

My apologies, Star Wars Geeks, if I missed anyone.  Please feel free to contact me if you’d like to be included in this (again, non-exhaustive) list.  You can find me on Twitter here:

Jesse & ioncontrol – thanks for the heads-up. They’ve been added to the list.

You use “Jedi” as part of your handle and you just listed out a LONG list of Star Wars fans who communicate to each other in character. You’re not a Star Wars geek? :D

You should play D&D. At least, sit through one campaign. It’s quite exhilarating to speak in medieval English. To think, your entire life is controlled by the roll of the die.

*omg – I am such a nerd.

Admiral Daala April 8, 2009 at 23:08

A very complete list, though there are way too many Rebels on it. No worries, I’m confident this will be taken care of in due time.

Thanks for the mention, Ted. Come catch one of my shows at Jabba’s palace. You’ve got a front-row seat waitin’ for ya. Well, mebbe 2nd-row. Farther away from the pit…

Very useful list you’ve made here. Many thanks, it’ll come in handy in my travels. Mind adding me to it? Would be very much appreciated.

Hoping to make new friends, but not too many people want to get close to a planet-destroying space station. :(

Ted – what a bloody power post! Love it!

Twitter is a fantastic tool and you have tightly niched it well!
This post builds a list (great fan base) and next time, I would love to see a video post in this power space! Engaging your fans even more! Maybe get them to post on your space too (as guest STers)! Community community and did I say community! :-) You are one super spesh bloke and I’m stoked to have met you on twitter.
High fives

Tayda April 23, 2009 at 22:54

Hello Everyone,
I just got a twitter. And I wanted to ask if you can somehow add me to the list…?
And I’m off on my own missions, so I should be twittering a lot.

Tayda April 23, 2009 at 23:40

Thank you for adding me!!!

Obi-Wan Kenobi April 25, 2009 at 22:27

Quite the exhaustive list, and thank you for the mention. I could hardly restrict myself by only talking to people within my own galaxy, however.

Deliah Blue April 29, 2009 at 18:03

That’s a sweet list hon.

Female_Revan April 30, 2009 at 12:03

Thanks for adding me! And quite an excellent list, by the way. :)

An esteemed jedi you are…

Ohil July 13, 2009 at 19:17

Wow thanks for the ad. I miss Ohil. But he will be back in September for D6

@the_real_r2 July 17, 2009 at 11:32

Is it too late to get in on this action? I set up a twitter account… mostly because I’m tired of hearing Threepio prattle on for hours. That guy needs a 140 character limit.

Fae Kleinkopf May 6, 2010 at 11:16

I have to buy the new star wars theme on my Tom Tom GPS. Looks like It is fantastic!

Master Yoda July 22, 2010 at 11:46

@tweetyoda missing are you

Jay Roeth July 26, 2010 at 06:35

Did you read about the thief in NY dressed as Darth Vader who held up a bank? Sounds like the beginning of a gag but it was real!

@Emperors_Guard November 1, 2011 at 19:58

Dear Quixoticjedi,

Could my Star Wars twitter account please be listed on your webpage?
I represent the Imperial Guard to Palpatine.

Sincerely- The Royal Guard
(PS: name has been changed too @Emperors_Guard -NOT- @Crimson_Guard)
